I never downloaded the latest RPi 4 image and did not realize that hdmi_drive=2 was not in the /boot/config.txt. I have been using a test image for the latest release where it was there. By default the pi's now are supposed to detect automatically via the monitor's EDID information if using HDMI. But the issue with the RPi 4 there is an EDID information gathering issue with quite a few monitors (Mine included with my VIZIO tv). Thanks for the info.
